Our October meeting date is packed! Join us for a special morning workshop, lunchtime topic and an optional field walking tour, and wind down with a happy hour!

Morning Workshop

Join us for a practical, hands-on workshop designed specifically for public works professionals who want to better understand how CEQA fits into the delivery of capital improvement projects. This session will provide an overview of the CEQA process with a focus on the environmental documents and exemptions most commonly used for capital improvement projects. We'll discuss when exemptions apply, when additional environmental review may be required, and practical strategies for integrating CEQA into project planning from the outset. Attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of how to assemble the right project team, avoid common pitfalls, and position projects for successful implementation.

Darcy Kremin (ESA) & Florentina Craciun (AECOM) will be our presenters for the workshop. Darcy is a Senior Principal Planner with Environmental Science Associates (ESA) in Oakland and has 25 years of planning, CEQA, and NEPA experience for nonprofit, private, and public sector clients. Florentina is an environmental planning and CEQA leader with more than 16 years of experience in environmental and land use planning throughout California. These leading experts will help you understand and navigate your next CIP! See the registration page for more on our speakers.
